Im getting the kindle 2 soon and.....?
can you explain what these are?:
Kindle electronic reader, power adapter, and USB 2.0 cable (for connection to the Kindle power adapter or optionally to connect to a PC or Macintosh computer).
Kindle electronic reader: The Kindle 2 device itself
USB 2.0 cable: You can use it to connect the Kindle 2 with your computer. After connected, you can copy anything (like Kindle books you have on your computer) to the Kindle 2. It also charges up the Kindle 2 when connect to the computer.
Power adapter: Used to charge the Kindle 2 with power on the wall. That means you can charge the Kindle 2 without a computer.
I think the power adapter is a very good design, as you can see in the following review from an actual user:

Is it ok to charge Kindle 2 in Cancun?
Do i need anything extra to safely charge my kindle in Cancun, Mexico? A plug adapter, converter, or surge protector?
No need. You should check the charger of the Kindle 2, it should be universal and accept 100~240V.
