I'm an iPhone user, and I admit, I downloaded a free application after reading this article the first time to see if maybe I could get over my slightly irrational hatred of electronic reading. I can't. I won't. I don't want to.

How about you? Can you read a book on your cellphone? Would you want to? How about even an e-reader? What's your opinion?

I used to be a huge reader of Harry Potter fanfiction. Which basically led to me sitting infront of the computer for hours reading. By the end of the day I would have splitting headaches and could barely look at my computer screen. With time it got better but I don't think it's good for your eyes at all. I used to have 20/20 vision and although I don't have glasses I certainly don't now. Despite this I still occassionally read fanfics... but as for actual books, definitely not. And on a phone... something even smaller that would strain the eyes even more... no. I have occassionally read fanfic on my ipod touch and it's so finicky and irritating. so no I wouldn't although I did just download the application haha. You never know, I may change my mind despite my love for reading actual books.

It kind of comes back to the debate as to whether in 100 years time there won't be any books. I think there will. There's nothing i love more than laying in bed on a rainy day reading a book, or laying in my hammock on a hot day reading

   The difference is only one way.Because the iPad is a superb e-book reader.OTOH, the Kindle can’t do the zillion other things you can do with an iPad.
