I will be visiting China for 15 days from February to March (Beijing to Shanghai, visiting the small towns in between as well as the big ones), and I wanted to know if it was easy for a tourist to find and buy Mao's book, I don't care if I can't read it, it would be just a souvenir. Are they for sale in tourist stores, or do I have to dig deep to find it? And is it legal for tourists to buy it?

I just hope we get a little choice, a little say in the matter, but I fear these things will be forced on us.
