How to get rid of set in car grease stains?
My boyfriend is a full time mechanic, he works on cars 10 hrs a day 5 days a week his clothes are covered in car grease obviously, what is the best solution to get rid of set in grease stains all over his work clothes??? any help would be great.
Work clothes are dark blue something to remove the stains without damaging the color of the clothes
Go ahead and try using some Dawn first ( I say that because most people have that handy, but don't dry until you are sure the stain is all out or it will become more and more set in) or try spraying some WD 40 on the stain and rubbing it in then rewash. I have heard that Coca Cola will remove a set in grease stain but I Haven't tried it so I don't know if it works.Another thing you can try is using some Go Jo or whatever type of degreaser he uses to wash the grease off his hands. Many times that will do the trick. What I recommend is for you to get some Lestoil and give that a try. A grease stain that has been dried and or ironed may be very difficult to remove. Lestoil is the best thing to get them out once they are set in. Check the reviews on this site and you may be inspired to pick some up, especially since he is a mechanic and will be getting these types of stain often.
