What "classic" science fiction or monster B-picture would you like to see re-made?
Sure, "Invasion of the Saucer Men" and "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" and "Kronos" and the like are fun '50s diversions, but they could have been so much cooler if they were actually good movies. What titles would you like to see re-newed and improved?
Definitely not "Forbidden Planet" or "The Day the Earth Stood Still". However a remake of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" or "Brain fromArous" would be interesting.

Can you Classic Science Fiction readers answer?
What is the name of the story by Wells or Verne in which, no one in the future could read or understand technology.The people in this future society depend on the machines to run everything for them. The setting is a train which breaks down.
This sounds a little like the great great great short story called "The Machine Stops," by E.M. Forster.
There is another story by Asimov or Clarke, I think, about someone in a very high tech society who invents mathematics on paper---something that a person could actually do without a machine!
