Classics Library

A must in a future library?
I read a lot and buy a lot of books, when I can. My dream is to have an extensive collection of fantastic books. I`m interested in anything you think should be a must in a (hopefully) future library. Especially fantasy, horror, history, art and classics, although all suggestions are welcome.
Oh where to begin!
Falls teh Shadow (W. Lashner), The SecretLife of Bees (Sue Monk Kidd), The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams). All classics such as To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Great Gatsby, Night, Frankenstein, The Scarlet Letter, and others. For young adults: The Book Theif (Zusak), Abarat (Barker), Story Time (Bloor), and all books by Brooks and Moriarty. Also New Moon and other books by Meyer, all books by Mass, and all books by Joan Lowry Nixon. I hope those selections help!
Oh, and if you are to start a library, please keep up on the new books. I am a frequent library-goer, and librarians never seem to buy any new books. Just a tip!
