Would stealing the bible be a sin?

Ok, so I was in a shopping departement and I happened to see the bible, the new testament, the King James bible version, and it cost friken $14.00. I wanted it so badly because I fell in love with the cover because it was my favorite color, purple, and because I was longing to have God's word close to me, and to actually do some bible study. The thing that got me more upset was because it's the KJV and that's one of the oldest and most accurate bible out there. Plus I don't follow any Christian denomination or go to church(I've done my research) I'm just Christian. To me is more of a faith, and I rather meditate through the bible an dfollow Jesus there. But I didn't have the money... so all i did was stare... and then I was like "What would happen if I stole this?" lmfao. I didn't do it.

In Matthew 5:29-30 and Mark 9:42-48, Jesus tells his followers that by just thinking lustfully they had committed adultery in their heart.

So, I suppose you could extend that lesson to any sin. So by considering stealing that item, you actually stole it in your heart.

It might be difficult for you to look up the biblical references if you can't afford the book. (You could look it up on some online Bible like Bible Gateway though.)
