You can get an e-ink screen very inexpensively. It's definitely worth it. I didn't even realize that there were still non-e-ink readers on the market (other than devices like the ipad which can be used to browse as well). I have a nook which was $150. And the kindle has e-ink as well and it's about the same price (and the contrast is better than the nook).
