Sony reader-100 free classic book deal?

Basically I want to buy a reader however I cannot decide whether to buy the dearer sony one or a cheaper Cool-ER one. I know you get 100 free books with the sony version but I cannot find a website that lists what they are to help me decide if its worth the extra money (about £60/£70) If anyone has the sony reader and could list the free books I would be eternally grateful.

I don't own a Sony Reader, and I've tried searching for the answer to your question to no avail. The 100 free ebook offer always comes up as being in 2007 or having expired in April of this year.

I did, however, find this article written at the end of July 2009, that says Sony is offering free downloads of one million books from Google Books. It also makes a point that you might want to consider when choosing which ebook reader to purchase:

I'm not entirely sure about this, but you can find which books are available through Google books by going to the Google books site and, on the left, underneath "Fiction" there are a whole bunch of links you can click that take you to other pages with images of the books which you can click on to read:
