What is the best eBook Reader or eReader?

Looks like there are a few eReaders on the market such as the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader, but which eBook Reader or eReader should I buy?

I love my Kindle 2 very much. I'll say the Kindle is the best ebook reader right now. The Kindle is better than the Sony Reader because it has free wireless and text-to-speech function. There are more ebooks you can find available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are quite a lot cheaper too. There are some good comparison between them here:

And in case you don't know, Amazon has recently put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support... So take the chance if you want it.

Should I wait until Xmas to buy an ebook reader?

Do you think by Xmas 2009, there will be newer and cheaper models of ebook readers? It seems that the Reader market is still in its infancy, with Sony and Amazon dominating in the US while in the UK, there aren't many models to choose from.

What do you think?

I guess you already know that Amazon now ships their Kindle device to UK? They originally sell it at $299 (but it is $359 when I get it at the beginning of this year), but now it is $279 for international edition. I guess they are trying to push their sale early before Xmas during this economy recession. I wonder they will cut their price further again actually...
