Ebook Reader Magazines

Does the Amazon Kindle ebook reader have any material not available on the Barnes&Noble Nook, and vice versa?
I'm considering getting one of those electric book contraptions, but I can't get a straight answer on the following question: Are there any books, magazines, or other reading material that are exclusive to one machine's service, or the other? I'm sure they all get the standard Times List Bestsellers, but I like to be able to access a variety of older and rarer books, now more than ever as libraries cut back on their hours. So, a key factor in my purchasing choice is what books will I be able to read...or if there is exclusive material, which one has more of the books I'll want to read?
The Amazon Kindle has more ebooks compared to the Barnes and Nobles Nook. Read the end of this article too, it mentions something about Barnes and Nobles and other ebook readers:
