Should I trust this ebay seller?
I've bid on an ebay item (Sony PRS-600 ebook reader) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180430072158&ssPageName=ADME:B:BCA:US:1123 but now I'm wondering if I should trust the seller. He has no feedback and no picture of the item. The description of the item looks legit though and paypal says the item qualifies for a buyers protection program. Should I trust him?
If it was me I would because just now I checked his feedback and so far he does have 1 positive one. You can purchase it and if he doesn't ship it to you, you can file a dispute over paypal and they will take it from there depending on what the tracking number says.
If you receive a item that is damaged etc then you can also file a dispute over paypal saying it is broke and THEY ALWAYS DO freeze the money in the sellers account and give you the chance to ship it back to them with a tracking number. After they receive it, the money will go back into your account.
If you feel uncomfortable after winning the bid you can call the seller. You cannot call them until you win the item. To get their phone number you have to go to advance search which is located on the right hand side of the search box. On the left side click find contact information and type in the item number and the sellers user ID. The information will be sent to your email address

Any place/program where I can trade in traditional paper books for the same title but in eBook format?
I'm getting a Sony e-reader, and I I'd hate to have to re-purchase the same books that I already have and spend money on.
I'm sorry, but you cannot get ebook for physical books that you already own. I've the Kindle 2 and I have to re-purchase the ebooks (those books that I really like) on the Kindle 2 even I have physical version... It is just like when you get a movie in DVD format, you only own the DVD format but not CD version or Blu-ray version...
And I'm not sure if it helps, but if you're in the United States, I'll recommend the Kindle over Sony Reader. It has free internet access; and you can find books for the Kindle cheaper than books on Sony Reader, so it makes quite a difference in long term. Amazon also provide much better content support to their Kindle device, compared to Sony.

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It has recently slashed in price, and it is now $60 cheaper than the price I got mine. So I do think it is a better buy right now.
