Ebook Reader University
Can you use a (ebook reader)Nook or Kindle for University of Phoenix Ebook format?
I am going to be attending University of Phoenix, I dont want to load all of the books on to my laptop and slow it down so I was wondering if the ebook format at Univ. of Phoenix was compatible with any of the Ebook reader formats available, I actually asked the school and they had no idea what a Kindle or Nook was...so they were no help at all.
If the format of ebooks in your University are PDF or MS Word, then they can be read on both the Nook and the Kindle.
I own the Kindle 2. If you ask me to choose again now, I'll still go for the Kindle instead of the Nook, because I think the web browsing function is rather important (the Nook does not have a web browser). The free internet (and now it is free international internet) plus the web browser allow me to look for information whenever I'm in need. It is really a cool feature that cannot be missed. And right now it is free for both the U.S. and many other countries, it is just incredible when you bring it to trip.
I like to use the text-to-speech function on the Kindle too, meaning that I can "read" with my hands and eyes free...

What is a good eBook reader?
I'm looking at getting an eBook reader so I don't have to carry a book with me everywhere and wreck them. Does anyone have any reviews or suggestions? I just graduated university so money is a priority. Also, I live in Saskatchewan so unless a miracle happens I'd have to get it online.
The best two in the market is Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader. Right now Amazon doesn't sell their Kindle outside the United States. Their free wireless access is only inside the U.S. too, so the Kindle won't be the right choice for you. You should go for the Sony Reader:
