Is it legal for individuals to sell PDF copies of books through amazon.com?
A seller is attempting to send me a PDF version of the book I purchased through amazon. First of all, it's not even the book in the description and secondly the book's supposed to include a CD.
But I'm also fairly confident that it's just plain illegal to sell an electronic copy of any book. I'm emailing the seller for my money back right now, but is this something I should notify amazon about?
Yes, it is illegal. It violates copyright laws....and he probably knows it's illegal....good luck on getting your money back....and 'yes' on notifying Amazon

Are there websites from which biology ebooks can be downloaded for free? If there are, could you tell me some?
I want to download an electronic book in PDF format on the whole of biology for a 15 year old student; one of about 500 pages well-elaborated and well illustrated with pictures. Anyway, what counts is that I get the book. Never mind if it doesn't fully match my specifications.
