Pleas suggest an electronic reader for a gift?

I am considering buying an electronic reader for my mother ... i want to know the following:

1) What are a couple of the lowest cost but good quality versions? (and where do I buy them)
2) Do they come with any books, or is each title a seperate cost .. ?
3) How much in general are books for these things?
4) How does a person download a book? is it easy?
5) How many books can they hold?

To answer your other questions, it doesn't come with any books. However, Amazon does provide over 7000 books for free that you can get to the Kindle device. You can check the price of bestsellers too, most of them cost under $10 and they are cheaper than actual books:

The Kindle 2 can hold up to 1500 books inside it. In case you ever have chance to get over this limit, Amazon keeps record for all the books you've purchased and you can redownload any books you've purchased any time you want to. Downloading books on the Kindle device is very easy, and it is very convenient that I don't need to go to bookstore and can just buy books and download with the device.

best electronic reader like kindle?

okay so my mom has been talking about a electronic reader that opera gave away on her show...what brand is that one?? and also where can i get it im on a very tight budget so what other ones are like that im talking about something like the kindle it might even be the kindle that opera gave away im not sure but where can i get one of these electronic books cheap and what are the best brands?? my moms not GREAT with technology but she can manage so nothing too high tech she just wants to be able to read buy books and also a way to enlarge the font when she reads would be great thanks in advanced!!
