Ereader Cooler

Can you download ebooks from a torrent site and put them on the cooler e-reader?

Also, if the cooler isnt any good, can you recommend another good ereader which is also cheap. Thanks!

If I were getting a reader just to read non-DRM'd ebooks, I'd probably want one of the Astak line.
