What is the best ereader for a college student?
Ive been researching ereaders recently and want to find the best one for college this fall. I dont want an ipad because those are pretty expensive. I have looked into a entourage pocket edge which seems very good but im not sure i can use amazon's renting etextbooks with it like the kindle can. I need something that i can take notes, easy to use, good screen, and well make it college textbook friendly. So what type of ereader is best??
i use the kindle, i have the 139 version, if your on a campus, you dont need to pay for the 3g version since you have free wifi all around, there are three advantages to the kindle over other devices such as the nook. first, there are alot more partners such as newspapers and and magazines who work with kindle, which can be beneficial to certain classes. second, the battery life.,since the kindle is black and white and doesnt run continuously on power, your device can last for several weeks between charges depending on how you use it. the way the kindle works is it only uses power to change the page, so if you using a page for work, and you leave it on the same page for 20 minutes,no power is used from the battery. thirdly, it doesnt have as much clutter on it as other devices, they try to jam pack crap on it that your cell phone has and your computer and other devices. so it becomes overkill, and it can be harder to use. so i would stick with the kindle,it is cheap and basic, but it has advantages other devices dont have.
