Authors advice - eReader and Kindle - either, neither, or both?
concerning the publishing of a book in electronic format
Neither, right now, but it's not for the author to worry about. That's a concern of the publisher.
People are not reading--or buying--ebooks for the eReader or Kindle in large numbers yet, if ever. Most ebooks sold are being read on computers.

Are ebooks the way to go?
I am starting school in a few weeks and I am going to have to buy text books for my classes, I am wondering are a lot of college level textbooks available in a eReader format and are the savings considerable.
I have not seen a lot of textbooks as ebooks. But that may depend on what you are studying. Check the college book stores and see what they have.
