FWIW, I always feel constricted when I use Windows. Perhaps your ambivalence is due to your personal work methods not showing any large differences when you use Windows or Linux. Personally, I find the lack of multiple desktops the greatest pain when I use Windows, because I have lots of windows open, and to have to put them all on one desktop makes things so cluttered that I have trouble finding things. With Linux, I have one desktop for web browsing, another for programming, yet another for reference material, and so on. My second problem with Windows is a sense of paranoia that a virus/worm will hit. So I seem to be forever scanning my hard-drive. With Linux, I just relax. Then again, I always try to maintain a (very) minimal Windows setup because, whether I like it or not, some companies insist on their equipment having only Windows or Mac software for interfacing. Hello, TomTom, Apple, Nokia. I mean *you*. Of course, YMMV.
