Ereader Options

Thinking of getting an eReader?
I'm debating on getting the Kobo or Nook(wifi only which is 149$). The only reason I'm debating is because I work at a Borders Store and until the end of July have the option of getting the Kobo for 119$ But after that have to pay the 149$ like regular customers making it the same price as the Nook.
Would I be a fool to not buy the Kobo now?
Alot o f people are pushing for the iPad or other tablets, but I already have a laptop, and smartphone, and don't really need another device that my comp/cell already do. And do not want the Kindle. I just have too many books and running out of room in my small apartment.
The Kobo is pretty basic and it has much weaker function compared to the Nook and the Kindle. Since the price doesn't differ much, I won't choose the Kobo reader if I were you.
I've given a detailed comparison between the Nook and the Kindle previously, in another answer here. Guess it'll help you decide which one to choose:

And recently, Amazon has announced an upgrade to its Kindle, to secure their market shares. See here for the update details:

I don't think the LendMe feature on my Nook is working?
I just received my B&N Nook yesterday, and I'm trying to "lend" a book to my dad on his Ipod Touch, but it won't let me lend any of the books I have to him. Lending isn't an option, but I don't fully understand any of the directions, so I have no idea if I'm doing it right.
Is there anyone that could possibly type out a little bit easier of steps for me to be able to "lend" my dad a book from my eReader?
The lending feature is not currently working as it should. One of our members got a response from B&N directly regarding this fact:
Dear Paul,
Thank you for your email regarding the difficulties yo have experienced while attempting to use the "Lend Me" feature on your nook.
We are aware of this problem and are working diligently to resolve it.
The functionality of the "Lend Me" feature has undergone a few minor technical difficulties which caused us to discontinue the use of that feature until further notice.
Please check back often as we hope to correct this situation shortly.
When this is made available again your nook will be automatically updated.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We look forward to your next visit.
Sincerely,
Desha

I would not try lending until they release something saying that this has been fixed (which will hopefully be soon!). I do not have a step by step yet since the feature isn't working right, but we should have one up on our site as soon as we are able to get the feature working properly.
Hope that helps!
Rachel
