Ereader Strip Drm
I have an epub file I bought using iBooks on my iPhone. Is there any way for me to get it onto my eReader?
I know where the file is, and I have now got a nice epub on my desktop; however, my Sony eReader refuses to read it. The Reader Library software that comes with it won't even open it, though it will put it in the library, but when I try to put it on the actual reader it says 'Processing' for ages and ages but doesn't appear to do anything.
I've tried stripping the DRM protection off it, but apparently it isn't DRM protected. Any help?
Also, forgot to mention: I'm on a Macbook, but I do have (limited) access to a PC if need be. I'd much prefer to stay on my Mac though.
As you seem to be confused, basically I bought an ebook from the iTunes iBooks store, and I now cannot get it onto my ereader.
It sounds like it may be in a weird format - epub is a pretty loose standard and it could be that Apple's epubs use markup language that the Sony Reader doesn't know how to cope with.
Do you have Calibre? It's a free ebook organizer/conversion tool. Try loading the file into Calibre and see if it can read it. If not, the problem is somehow related to the file. If it can, try converting it to another format that the Sony can read, or convert it to something like .mobi and then convert it back.
