iPod Video 5th Generation Help?!?

I have an iPod Video 5th Generation 30GB, and I dropped it in water a few weeks ago. I sent it into thepoddrop and they said they fixed it, I got it back, and it wasn't working, so I sent it in again. This time when I got it back, it was working perfectly for a few days. Then the day before yesterday it stopped working again (I was super upset), so I set it down on a table for the day, and then yesterday it stopped again. I really want to know if there is a way I can fix it myself. I hate shipping it back and forth. The problem: it is completely unresponsive when it is not on charge, and when it is on charge I get a blank white screen. I cannot restart or reset it. I REALLY REALLY want my iPod to work again. That thing is my life, lol.

If you ever drop your ipod in water again, put it in the freezer. I'm serious, it works.

I would take it to an actual Apple Store. You can find one close to you at http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/. For a problem like this you'll have to make an appointment, but an actual person will sit down with you and help you fix it and tell you if there is something they can do about it, or if your ipod really does have irreparable damage.
