What happened to Helen and Paris after the Trojan War?

I've never read the Illiad, but I have seen Troy the movie. And I know that the movie will always be at least slightly inaccurate from the actual text. And the text, was probably stretched/altered to suit the readers of Homer.

But, what really happened?

Paris didn't survive. Helen was briefly married to Paris's brother, but at the end of the war is usually said to have been reunited with Menelaus.

By the bye - Homer was blind, he didn't write. He told an oral history that was memorized and written down at a later date.

Is this a good thesis for my essay on how the illiad can be considered a tragedy using Aristotle's principals?

Joe Sachs expounds on Aristotle by applying Aristotle's concepts to the Iliad but its basically Aristotle's ideas. Here's the thesis: Homer’s Iliad, regarded as one of the greatest Epics of all time, can be considered a tragedy, according to Joe Sachs namely because it “arouse[s] pity and fear” within its reader leaving him feeling purged and cleansed.
