Do you find reading ebooks uncomfortable?
I'm on my way to publish a book...not large, with a content of 60 pages. Thinking if I should publish that as an ebook. Coz its easy to make and distribute. But a bit concerned if people like reading ebooks.
What do you say? Do you read ebooks? How large ones? Do you find them comfortable to read? I am not speaking about Kindle/e-reader variety but the PDF ones that you read on PC's.

Wow. Hey, congrats! Not everyone has the courage to face the publishing industry even if their literature is highly recommended for public consumption. Because you already have your materials, the next thing you might decide on doing is to find a publisher who will be your retailer, publisher, editor and distributor at the same time - which is of course not that easy to find.
That's actually a good idea. The ebook provides a venue for writers to post their work out there where people can blatantly give constructive criticism online. The thing is: why stop online? The internet can do so much but if you actually consider your work to be published in book form, not only you will be able to see a tangible form of your work but you also get to protect your rights. 
I have the Stanza reader in my iPhone and thought of buying myself Barnes and Noble's Nook reader but nothing beats the thrill of having the actual book on hand. See, eBooks might fare in the market but your readers would still want the real deal.

It is Easy to Download Books On the Kindle eBook Reader in a Flash!
So, you have heard of the kindle eBook reader. You are torn between accepting the technology of storing all of your books on the reader instead of having them clutter up your shelves at home. It is hard sometimes to let go of what you have known your whole life, but the Kindle can make the transition easy and pleasurable and you will be asking yourself, "What was I waiting for?"
The kindle is a lightweight, wireless computer that stores books, magazines, newspapers, and even audio books. It can hold up to 1,500 for you to read at your pleasure. If you fear downloading a book and then losing it later, you can put those fears to rest, as Amazon has a back up for every Kindle and you can re-download your books should they be lost for some reason.
Another reason for the back-up library is that you can store purchased books there to make room on your kindle eBook reader for more titles. Your library keeps track of the last page you read and even any annotations you wrote into the margins. It is just like paper and ink books, but digital to protect your notes and reading materials. The downloads are inexpensive and you can get the most popular books that have just come out, or you can get books that have been out awhile.
It is very simple to download books onto your kindle eBook reader. Just scan through the list, search by name or author and once you have found the book you want, select it, and press download. You're pre-authorized form of payment will be charged and the book will download immediately. It shouldn't take longer than 60 seconds. It is that simple. Then, just read.
Other great features on the Kindle include: a built-in dictionary. wireless access to Wikipedia and wireless capabilities to download documents and PDF files and includes a basic webrowser to see Google or even get weather or show times for the movies. You can download over 50,000 Kindle audio book titles. This requires the use of a USB cord that comes with the kindle eBook reader.
Since the file sizes of audio books are larger, they are first downloaded to a PC and then transferred to your Kindle through the USB connection. As you download your books, you can organize them into different libraries for easy access. You can add a book to more than one category.

Reading PDFs on the Nook sucks, but reading PDFs on *any* ebook reader sucks. PDFs were made for a completely different purpose–for easy printing–so reading them on an ereader is mixing up that purpose. It’s like driving a car on the railroad tracks. Or playing baseball with a football. They just don’t match. The technology to display them will take some time. IANAE, but it seems that ereaders will need to have some ability to OCR that PDF file, and the processors in there now are pretty simple things, mostly dealing with faster page refreshes. I hear it’s better with Kindles and Sonys, but I’m not sure. Bottom line is it’s gonna take time and new innovations in this field. Will take years if not decades.
