Did you keep your pre-veg leather clothing?
I am a vegetarian and sometimes get questioned by people because I occasionally wear leather shoes or carry a leather bag. Since going veg I have not purchased any new leather goods, but I don't feel I should have to throw the others away and incur the expense of replacing them before they wear out. I definitely don't have the means to replace half of my shoe rack until they're not wearable anymore. How do you feel about wearing your pre-veg clothing? Did you get rid of your stuff or wear it until it wore out?
I'm glad to see that several people agree. I'm sick of telling people I'm veg and then having them say that I must not care much if I'm wearing leather. Ugh.
I agree with you on this one and I too have pre-vegetarian leather goods/apparel in my possession. Some of the items were gifts and also carry sentimental value.
I have not purchased anything leather for myself since becoming veg and once the leather things I do have wear out, they will be replaced with cruelty-free items.
