Kobo Ereader question??? (sharing books?)?

My mom jut got a Kobo Ereader and she loves it. I love it too, but the problem is is that we both want to use it at the same time. My mom was planning on getting on for me so we dont need to share, but i have a question:

Can you share books? For example, if my mom bought a book for her kobo, would i be able to download that book? Is it like itunes, where you can have multiple devices synced into one library, or is it one account for one device?

thanks!

Yes, theoretically books bought on the Kobo ereader can be shared by up to 6 Kobo readers. You can see the 15th question on the FAQ page here:

And not sure if it helps, but if you're getting a second device you can consider to get another one. Amazon just released a new Kindle and it is much better. I've given a detailed opinion and comparison of the new Kindle with other most popular ebook readers, in another answer here (I've also mentioned where to get free books in the answer). Guess you'll find interested:

The Kobo reader is pretty basic I'll say. And if you're getting the Kindle, my advice for you is to place the order as soon as possible so to ensure it arrives to you early. The first batch has just sold out and the second batch now deliver on or before 8th Sept. When the second batch get out of stock, it may take another month for it to be back in stock, and you'll have to wait much longer.

Hope it helps :)

Blackberry Cell Phones Help Amazon Expands E Books Services

The amazing E-book reader and one of the most popular gifts of the last year, the Amazon Kindle, is expanding and doing what it can to get itself into the smart phone market, with the help of BlackBerry Cell Phones. What does this mean exactly? Simply put the revolutionary technology hopes to continue trailblazing by making its books and digital titles available in a number of other platforms outside of the kindle itself.

The kindle is already huge market success and continues to grow in popularity. Since hitting the market there have been many imitations though none have gotten the praise and fan base that the kindle has. And what have we always learned, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. But yes, the Kindle is a huge success; A lightweight device that can easily download eBooks allowing users to carry a library of information on a tablet smaller than a laptop. But, as is usually the case with a giant such as Amazon, Amazon is not quite satisfied with the device, or rather; they know they can continue to improve on the device. There hope is to expand outside the Kindle itself.

Now they are integrating to the smartphone market. Essentially, the books which are approved to be placed in their library of EBooks will now be available for download on new items, not simply the Kindle. The idea is to allow those with smartphones to download books onto their phones if they are so inclined. The hope is that with their books available on Blackberry cell phones, smart phones, Kindles and other devices, they will increase profits even if the actual Kindle devices sell in fewer quantities.

This is a revolutionary idea, making books electronic, and it has just been taken a set further by placing these Ebooks onto Blackberry cell phones and other smartphones. There is no telling what will come next but I know I am excited to see it. Will Kindles and Blackberry cell phones alike soon have movie, music and book libraries all stored within one handheld device? It doesn't seem too far off and if that is the case our modern world has once again become that much more convenient. Are we just spoiled, lucky, both or neither? I'm still not sure. Either way I am anxious to see the next trick these companies have up their sleeve because as of late, it always seems to be a really good one. So show me what you got!
