recommended dyslexia equipment list?

I'm applying for funding for a Diploma, and I need a list of equipmnet I will require for my studies to help with my dyslexia. Can anyone shed any light on some good equipment? I will be asking for a MAC laptop (as our family computer is sited in the living room and my husband uses it for his work) what is good compatible software, and where is the best place to purchase it? Does anyone use a Kindle? I thought about asking for coloured note books and slides as well. My main issues are reading- it takes along time for things to sink in, taking notes and listening at the same time (anyone have a Dictaphone they could recommend?) it also takes me a long time to type things up. Hello, smudgehog, I'd reccommend Nook e-Ink or Nook Color from Barnes & Noble as current Kindle is a stone age device compared to current e-Ink Nook or Nook Color. All major electronics reviews web sites like declared Nook the best eReader. e-ink Nook has the latest generation touch screen display, no page turn lag, it weights less, and its battery lasts twice as long, and it doesn't blink on each page turn. Nook Color supports hundreds of apps and has full-color web and video experience. Kindle only supports eBooks in its proprietary AZW format. Nook, on the other hand, supports both DRM-protected and DRM-free ebooks in ePub format thus it supports ebooks from B&N store, from any other DRM-free source on the web, and from public libraries.
