Does anyone use this makeup combo?

I use Bare Minerals and like it but I can't get the matte full coverage I need and like. It does not cover as well as they say on me anyways. I wonder if anyone has layered a light liquid foundation or mousse makeup and Bare Minerals over it?

This is also a problem I had for awhile. There are a few solutions to it, without having to part with your Bare Minerals.

1. ALWAYS apply concealer to any red spots, zits, and to under eye circles. It's really important to get a good concealer. This is the one thing you need to splurge on if anything. Prescriptives makes an amazing one. It's $17, and is fit to match your skin perfectly, Bare Minerals makes good ones also. You can apply concealer after your foundation, for the best results.

2. It is definately okay to apply a liquid foundation before applying Bare Minerals. Although, I wouldn't recommend using a mousse, they tend to dry the skin too much.

What I do next is mix MAC Strobe Cream (a highlighter/moisturizer/primer) with my Bed Head Glamma Liquid foundation, and then apply my Bare Minerals foundation over top of it. It comes out really natural looking.
If you do this, make sure to let the foundation dry on your face, before applying the Bare Minerals. It will come out horrible if you don't.

Than, I apply my blush, and set it all with the Bare Minerals mineral veil. I'm not sure if you have that, but it does give you a flawless more coveraged look.

Also, are you using the Bare Minerals brushes? A lot of how your make up goes on has to do with how you apply it, and what you apply it with.

Alright, hope I could help ya, good luck!

help choosing color(s) for a great room / kitchen combo?

I just moved into a home that has a large 25 by 25 great room that opens up into the kitchen. the rug in the room is a light tan. the wall s now are cream and the large fire place has brick that are a taracotta color shade( NOT brick red)

the kitchen has the same taracotta color shaded brick cooking arch and the cabinets are also a taracotta color

I would like to find 2 color that work well together since the rooms are open to each other, and I think using the same color will be a bit to much. maybe an accent wall in the great room and a bit lighter shade on the other walls, but have no inspiration. I have cornise boards in the great room I can cover with any fabric ,and of yeah my couch and love set are a chocolate brown ( micro sweade.

thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

go to www.behr.com and use their color program thingy (sorry I can't remember exactly what its called)...you can pick a room close to what you have and then chose colors
