I have a month off and I want to read more. Please suggest books (novels)?
My reading list so far (this info is from my library card):
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Wiggin, Kate Douglas Smith
Watership Down by Adams, Richard
Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn by Twain, Mark
The complete novels of Jane Austen by Austen, Jane
Wuthering heights by Brontë, Emily
Crime and punishment by Dostoyevsky, Fyodor
The prince of tides by Conroy, Pat.
Black Beauty by Sewell, Anna
The velveteen rabbit by Williams, Margery
The little prince by Saint-Exupéry, Antoine de
Dracula by Stoker, Bram
I love: historicals, fantasy, classics ... YA is alright as long as it's of high quality writing like Harry Potter or His Dark Materials trilogy ... I'm not into books like The Princess Diaries or Twilight because of their writing style (very simple chick-lit type language...hard to explain)
THANKS.

That link is for a really interesting and informative site, which talks about banned books and when possible actually posts links for you to read them.
Remember that you are talking about a book which is obviously published world wide, so banned in America is not the same as banned everywhere, in the UK for example we are thankfully not so quick to ban literature as parts of the US are, but other places, like China and a whole load more and much easier to 'offend' with books.
