please help to select right software?
i m havin a very old pc havin specifications as follows-
40 gb hard disk
128 mb ram
pentium 3 processor
i might nt b gettin a new laptop til july
can u tell me some light softwares that can work on my pc and increase its performance
software presently used by me
sony ericsson pc suite
opera 11
foxit pdf reader
please also tel any extra hardware i shud buy like ram etc within 20 usd.
Can u tel a light antivirus i can use.
For hardware, extra RAM would certainly be a priority, I'm assuming that it's Windows XP (or 2000) as to run on Opera 11 on Win9x needs some clever workarounds (Kernelex)
If you had a spare hard disk of a few GB, it would be worth using as a swap disk on the secondary controller (and setting the swapfile to be on it).
It's rare to gain much from software tweaks - "Memory defragmenters" ARE GARBAGE, as are tools which "FREE memory".
With some reservations, CCleaner might be worth using
