bonds help please!!!?
Black Company issued $300,000 of 10%, 5-year bonds at 108. Interest is paid annually, and the effective interest method is used for amortization. Assume that the market rate for similar investments is 8%. The bonds are issued on the date of the bonds.
1) what amount was received for the bonds?
2) how much interest is paid each interest period?
3) what is the premium amortization for the first interest period?
4) how much bond interest expense is recorded on the first interest date?
5) what is the carrying value of the bonds after the first interest date?
no smart ass answers... and if you don't know it then don't answer. pretty simple really.
If i wasn't so busy, I'd do the amortization table for you. but what you need to do is google Amortization tables. You've got enough info to use excel formula for calculating annual payment.
you'll see the amorization table and think ' i can't do this'...but you can! just take a deep breath. start by entering in the column headings in excel. use the Fx function to calculate the annual PMT in excel. of that, a certain amount is for interest payments, and the rest is to pay down principal. initially, more of the annual PMT is used for interest, but as time goes on, more and more is used for the principal payment.
don't be lazy or doubt yourself. this is much easier than you think.
columns are: 1) beginning carrying value, 2) annual payment, 3) interest payment, 4) principal payment, 5) ending carrying value.
then, link row 2 of column 1 to column 5 cell of row 1. ie. the ending carrying value carries over to the beginning carrying value of the second period.
again, use your accounting book, or google amortization table. you might even be able to find an amortization table online that does most of the work for you. if it has a table for all inputs. the main figure you're missing is the annual payment. b/c you know what annual interest is.

16inch screen. Current laptop I carry around sometimes is 15.4 so I didn't think the difference would be TOO great.
Going off to college means desktop = no go and i've gamed on laptops before. I enjoy it. Dont answers with "GET A DESKTOP INSTEAD NOOB"
Aside from the fact its gonna have a short battery life due to all the high end components, its also gonan run hot, oh and its a Toshiba so it sucks compared to a dell, asus, or lenovo. Yea this will play just about any game with mid to high performance 
, but.... as i always say never use laptops for gaming its a stupid idea to make a peice of plastic like that be pusehd so hard especially when u could drop it
