Which one: Sony PRS or Kindle?
I've been wanting an ebook, but i'm not sure which one to buy. I've done extensive research and both companies have flaws in their products, though i'm leaning more towards the Sony (PRS-600). I'm a full-time student and I just like to read on my downtime, between classes and when i'm traveling, so i need something that's light and won't take up much space. I would just like to know which eReader will meet this or if i should just simply wait until a better model comes out.

The Kindle can meet all your criterion, including light weight, small size, and an companion for your trip. And indeed I've got some textbooks on my Kindle, and it saved me some money as well as the weight of textbooks. I've mentioned more about textbooks on the Kindle here:

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are over 340,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complaint that it is difficult to find suitable books, and books on it are more expensive than the Kindle. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function.
If you need to read PDF with charts and graphics, you may want to go for the Kindle DX. Read this review and you should be able to decide which one to get:
