Purchase Ebook Reader
Once I buy an eBook can I keep it?
I've pretty much decided to buy a Sony 505 eBook reader. I'm just wondering if there is a large selection of books that I can buy, even if I am in Canada? Also, once I've purchased a book, can I back it up so that I can keep it forever? I'm one of those people that like to reread books and if I can't do that I might as well keep buying books. Comments? Suggestions? Ideas?
Yes, you can keep the ebook forever. I suggest that other than keeping the books on your Sony Reader, you can keep a backup copy in your computer too. So when your Sony Reader is out of storage space and you need to remove some books from it, there is still a backup copy on your computer.
It doesn't matter whether you're in Canada or any other place when it comes to ebook readers. You just need to connect to internet and you can buy ebooks from any websites and download to your ebook reader. When you get the reader and read its user manual you'll know, it will tell you where you should get your e-books too.

I am looking into purchasing an Ebook reader.?
I have done some research & narrowed my choice's down to the Sony PRS-600 or PRS-300. I would love some input on what would be the better buy, the PRS-600 with all the bells & whistles or the PRS-300 a simple reader that does exactly what I want it to for $100 less?
The PRS-600 has a bigger screen and expanded memory slot. Since the PRS-300 has only around 440MB memory for use, it may not be enough. So I'll suggest you to choose the PRS-600 instead.
However, if you're in the United States, I'll say the Amazon Kindle will even better. I'm a Kindle 2 owner; there are more books available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are cheaper than books on Sony Reader. There is a review here for the Kindle 2 from a previous owner of Sony Reader:

And actually Amazon has recently slashed the price of the Kindle 2, and it is now $60 cheaper than the price when I get it. So it is a good chance if you want one.
