Seal Wrap
I took the seal off a my wine tonight and found tiny little bugs on the cork.I didn't drink it. What are they?
I put saran wrap over the bottle opening and sealed it with an elastic. I will take it back to the store but I would love to know what they are. They almost looked like little fleas.
I suggest calling the winery about this issue. Because of laws regarding alcohol purchase (depends on your state laws, they all vary from state to state), the store may not be able to help you with this. But, the winery should be able to give you some information. If these bugs were on the outside of the cork, I would not worry about them, inside would be a different story. Check the wine bottle for a toll free phone number or website. Hope this helps!
