Soft Sleeve case
When you buy iPod, do you get a free case?
A couple of years ago, my dad bought an iPod classic and he got this complementary black "case" (it was actually just a really soft black sleeve) with it.
Do you still get those when you buy an iPod classic?
The previous iPod were made of plastic and that scratched easily. The 6th Gen (Classic) is made of metal and less prone to scratching and therefor should not require a sleeve. At that time Apple stopped providing them-Apple found most people didn't use them anyways.
I personally prefer the 5.5 Gen Video Ipod 30G model. I prefer it because it does not have coverflow, nor allow the split screen that I feel make it look cheap and take up so much space/memory. For $60, you can get a 80GB HD and a stronger battery that will last 5 years.
