What ereader should I get?

I am planning on getting an eReader and I am not sure what to get. My top three are the Kobo the Kindle or one of the sony readers. Kindle is probably not the one I will get because it not compatible with my library and the books are kind of expensive in my taste just to be looking at a screen. So if you choose to answer this question please write which ereader is the best, how reliable is the Kobo and whether or not I should change my mind and get a Kindle. Thanks!

The Sony Readers are nice units. They read most formats, including epub and PDF. They are really durable and elegant due to the aluminum bodies. The other person is correct that the two lower priced models of the Sony do not have wireless, but I have been using one for over two years and have never needed to download a book while standing on line at the bank.
I have never used a Kobo, but I have used the Borders website and app and I found it to be a nightmare. Sony's Reader store is easy to use and you don't have to transfer the books from one program to another before you can make them readable. Even if you purchase books from another store, they are captured by the Reader software and can simply be transferred to your Reader Device with a simple drag/drop.
Oh and Sony has great public library access as well. Click the link, select your library, enter your library card #, and download directly to the Reader software. Other ereaders who have library access make you jump through a dozen hoops to download a library book. I couldn't even begin to give instructions on how to use the other ereaders for this purpose.
The one downer to Sony is the price. They are more expensive than most other ereaders on the market. On the plus side, they will probably outlast all the other ereaders for actual use. Mine is over two years old and I read for hours every day, it has been dropped several times and it still functions and looks like new. In the same time period I have seen my friends replace their Kindle devices at least once apiece.
Go to the websites and see what features you really want in your reader and decide how much you are willing to pay, and you will have picked out the right device for you.
