Free eBooks for the Sony eReader?

I got a Sony eReader for Christmas and I like it alot (as I love to read). I am in the middle of another actual book and I dont want to pay for it on my eReader. (I know what your thinking; Just read the actual book version) but I'm going on a plane soon and it would be incredibly convenient if I could have that book downloaded on my eReader. Is there any way I can rent an eBook? Kinda like a library?

There are library ebooks; you'll have to find out if your local library has them, and if the book you want is in them. (Unfortunately, odds are against it.) The Sony Reader can be set up to read library ebooks through Adobe Digital Editions.

If not, you can get free ebooks from a lot of different sites:
