Yes. ePub is the industry standard and Sony Reader supports DRM protected ePubs from the Sony store, Kobo, Books on Board, Fictionwise, your public library and more. It doesn't support Barnes and Noble DRM. Sony also has the best PDF support of any reader out there today.
