Sony Prs 600 Touch Edition

Does the Sony Reader Touch Edition (PRS-600S) work internationally?

I want to buy an e-reader, but I'm not into the Kindle. Doesn't have the books I want available and doesn't have a memory slot. I'm Canadian, but work in Korea. I'm aware some readers won't let you download outside of certain countries. Anyone know of any restrictions on the PRS-600? Can I download more books from an Asian IP address?

I've heard of people having trouble outside the US with downloading ebooks from Sony's ebook store even when their home and CC address is in the US or Canada (Sony's ebook store is only available in these two countries). Sony's store does seem to lock out ISP addresses from other countries.

You could try rerouting your ISP address, or download a stockpile of ebooks while you're at home in Canada. But if that's too much of a pain you should look into buying ebooks from third-party retailers.

That's what's good about Sony: You can buy ebooks from anyplace that sells Adobe ePub and PDFs for DRM'd (newer) ebooks. Some of these sites have regional restrictions too, but not all, so you'll have to check with the individual stores.

I'd try ebooks.com first; they seem to sell to a lot of regions.
