The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro Sees The Addition Of A Qwerty Keyboard

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz is an impressive Smartphone, and the Vivaz Pro builds on this reputation with the addition of a full QWERTY keyboard. Including touch screen navigation, Wi-Fi internet and 8 mega pixel camera, the Vivaz Pro is the definition of versatility in a mobile phone.

 

The 3.2 inch TFT touch screen operates at a pixel layout of 360x640 displaying 16M colours, for excellent display quality of on screen content. As well as this, a QWERTY keyboard is provided for efficient text entry. An accelerometer sensor provides an auto rotate function, which rotates the screen's image dependent on the orientation of the phone itself.

 

Internal memory of 75 MB is provided as standard for storage of data such as music files, as is a micro SD slot. This features a pre-installed 8 GB memory card for ample file storage, however should further storage be required, this can be upgraded to up to 16 GB. The spacious internal phonebook includes the photocall feature, whereby a photo is assigned to each contact and this is then displayed each time that person calls.

 

A long list of impressive features mean the Vivaz Pro is a versatile everyday handset. The internal media player supports a whole host of different media file formats, whilst a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed games are all included to keep users entertained for hours on end. Facebook and Twitter apps allow direct access to these popular social networking sites, as well as dedicated application for YouTube and Picasa. These allow pictures and videos taken on the phone to be directly uploaded to these sites in a matter of seconds for the whole world to enjoy.   

 

As expected, several different connectivity methods are utilised for connecting to the internet and cellular networks. Cellular networks are made available thanks to class 10 versions of both EDGE & GPRS in all but the most isolated locations. In areas covered by 3G, HSDPA and HSUPA provide a fast internet connection. A faster connection can be gained thanks to Wi-Fi which utilises the signal provided by local wireless internet routers.

 

The Vivaz Pro measures 109x52x15mm and weighs just 117 grams. Its slimline profile and light weight make it a pocket friendly phone which is also a pleasure to hold with one hand when operating the touch screen, or with two hands when using the QWERTY keyboard.

 

A high quality digital camera boasting 5 mega pixels is built into the Vivaz Pro handset. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2560x1920 and includes a number of image enhancing features. These include autofocus, LED flash and face and smile detection. These make it easy for budding photographers to take high quality snapshots. It can also shoot video as an alternative method of image capture. This is in 720p quality at a rate 24 frames per second.

 

The combination of QWERTY keyboard and touch screen navigation is becoming more popular, and the versatility of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pr mean this handset is ideally placed to take advantage of this fact.
