Where to get an affordable white board stand?
Hey guys, i have a whiteboard that's 5 feet wide and 3 feet in length. I found a few white board stands/easels and the price ranges anywhere from 100-200$
Do you know anywhere where i can find an affordable stand?

Can a simple single masted easel stand perfectly vertical?
I'm looking at easels to buy and the single mast seems a cheaper option, with little compromise.
BUT the only thing i really require, is that my drawing board needs to be straight up and down. when i see pictures it is always at an angle, and the descriptions never go into the angle range of the easel.
when I look at the photos, it seems possible, but i just want to double check.

Tripod easels need to have their feet spread out for stability. This causes their work surfaces to always be at an angle.
There are "incline tripod" or "lyre tripod" easels that have an additional mechanism that corrects for the lean that tripod easels usually have. See links below.

can you use a car charger to power a car radio?
i have a pioneer deh-4200ub radio that i want to use in my home. the charger is a power force. it has several settings: 55 amp engine start, 10 amp (12v auto), and a 2 amp (12v auto). u can also charge and start the car with it. i know a pc power supply is better but i dont have one and wanted to see if i can use what i have. i seen on youtube several people were able to use their car chargers to power a car radio.
safest way would be to use a desktop power converter. That is what I use to test radios. But yes in theory that should work but if there is no fusable links in place and it gets too much power... bye bye radio. Also do not cross connections, that also equals bye bye radio.

Will this wall charger power a car amp?
Wall charger with: input 120v AC 60 HZ. Output 12v DC 300 MA. Power a 200 watt 2 channel car amplifier? It converts to dc but does it pu out enough amps? I kno nothing about this lmao
me too because right now I'm higher than a space satellite...

I recently lost my iPod Touch's USB Charger. I only have my car charger now. But...?
My car is being repaired. -_- Is there anyway I could use my car charger at home without going out to buy a adapter for my wall socket? My iPod Touch is 64GB 3g. Thanks ^_^

Where can I find an adapter to plug a car charger into a home outlet in the US?
I lost my home charger for my old phone a long time ago, and now am stuck using the old phone but the lack of a charger is a bit of a problem. Either I need an adapter to charge it via my car charger in my house, or I need a charger for a Siemens CL75 (Lmtd. Ed. Poppy) that will work in the US. Anybody have any idea where to find one? (Preferable under $25)
What're asking for is a 'wall wart" type power supply with 12 volt output and a cig lighter socket. You don't need very high power, either - an amp or so will do fine. These are pretty common.
I've linked one below that's under $4. Plus shipping.
They also come in a "corded" version with a cord between the wall wart and the cig lighter socket. (second link - that's probably the one I'd buy)
Radio Shack has one, but at $33 it's absurdly overpriced. (third link) They might have something cheaper in their stores.

What are the basics of sailing a large ocean-going vessel by wind power alone?
In a paragraph or two can someone answer the question
describing the basics of sailing a large ocean-going vessel by wind power alone?
I have to answer this question for a project but i have no idea.. Someone HELP!!
The basics of sailing the oceans can be narrowed down to two things: ocean currents and prevailing winds. Civilizations which studied these two phenomena became the explorers and rulers of the seas.
Ocean currents can flow at relatively high speeds -- the Gulf Stream has a max speed of 4 knots! Not knowing which way the currents flow could be catastrophic to a voyage. Planning a trip which takes advantage of current will add to the chances of success!
Prevailing winds across the globe mean that there natural paths for sailing ships to take advantage of. Approaching the equator, the winds tend toward the west --- these are the trade winds -- westward crossings of the Atlantic or Pacific oceans is best done by getting into these trade wind or easterlie zones. North or South of these zones are a band of prevailing winds which blow from the west to the east -- the "westerlies". You can see these winds on this representation: (1)
The best of all situations is where the ocean currents and the prevailing winds flow in the same direction. For instance, in the North Atlantic, the Gulf Stream and the westerlies form a "superhighway" from North America to Europe. When modern day tall-ships race across the Atlantic they use the same routes found centuries ago by explorers. (2)
You can see that they use the trade winds to cross from Europe to North America. Then they use the Gulf Stream to go up the East coast, and finally catch the westerlies and the remainder of the Gulf Stream to cross to Europe.
These basics will constrain all wind-powered vessels -- especially those "square rigged", ie: driven from winds coming from behind the vessel. Other types of sail craft may be able to sail "into the wind" a little better, but the wind and current will always be their main concern.

How much do you have to spend to get off the grid on home wind power?
Concidering wind power. Does the kit come complete? And will the investment pay off?
