The outer part that you see is 100% real leather, and that's what's important. The lining is polyester to allow the jacket to easily slide over clothes and makes it easy to slide on and off, protects the suede side of the leather and will keep the insulation from falling apart. The insulation keeps the jacket nice and warm. You don't want a jacket lined with leather, that would be uncomfortable and it would stick to your shirts.
