How do you charge a SONY PSP using a USB cable and a computer?

I can't figure it out. I tried a few days ago and it just died. I got my psp on tuesday (the god f war PSP) and I cant get it to charge using a usb cable. Maybe you cant? I'm not sure.

yes u can turn the usb charge mde on n just connect it to the comp. Tho, u need to be in the usb mode ofr it to work, you will not be able to use the psp to play games or anything else in that time. if you want to be able to use ur psp while charging it, buy a special psp cable, like the one i hv linked. you can buy it online or go to a shop nearby and ask them if they hv it. (i got mine from ebgames)
