I need some opinions on finding the best iPhone protection.?

I've got an iPhone 3GS. The Oleophobic screen was supposed to be super resistant to scratches and the such. Well, a week after sitting in my pocket with my keys proved that to be wrong. Long story short, I'm getting a new iPhone and am wanting the best protection available. I work in an industrial setting, so impact resistance is also key to me.

The two that I'm looking at combining are the Zagg Full Body InvisibleShield and the Otterbox Defender.

Are there any other accessories that beat these? I had an Otterbox on my first iPhone, and don't mind the extra weight/bulk. I really don't care how pretty the phone looks, as long as I get a nice un-scathed screen and have some pretty sturdy protection.

If you use the Zagg shield and an extra case you don't need to use the full body shield. Those are a pain in the ass to put on right and the back of the phone is protected by the case anyway. You can save yourself $9 this way. Best Buy also has an accidental damage from handling plan on their iPhones, which you can't get anywhere else, but if you didn't get the iPhone from best buy they won't allow you to get their protection plan. I don't have much experience with otterbox but I've heard they're huge and add a lot of bulk to the phone, but that they protect it very well.
