Do E-books work on Zune HD?

I'm trying to find a cheap ereader. I have not been able to find one other than the Kindle that I like, but it's a little pricey. I'm already getting the zune, so I thought I might be able to kill two birds with one stone. If the zune doesn't, do you know of any cheap sites for the kindle?

However, I don't recommend to read e-books with devices like iPod, because their screen aren't designed for reading. They are backlit and just work like LCD monitor, they will hurt our eyes if we read for long hours. The Kindle uses eInk so it is just like reading books.

I got my Kindle device at $359 at the beginning of this year when it is just released. So I think it is really a good chance now to get it so much cheaper.
